Overview
LedgerLegends ("LedgerLegends", "we", "us") is an educational accounting game and business simulator available on the web and through mobile apps. This policy explains what information the service collects, why it is used, when it is shared, and the controls available to you.
Information We Collect
- Account information: email address, display name, account identifier, role, and authentication/session information.
- Game and leaderboard information: scores, XP, accuracy, rounds played, unlocked levels, achievements, streaks, and other progress.
- Simulator information: business name and type, simulated cash balances, transactions, assets, debts, budgets, scenarios, invoice details, customer names and email addresses, and alert settings that you choose to enter.
- Optional invoice uploads: invoice images or PDFs you select for AI-assisted field extraction, together with extracted vendor, amount, date, category, and description data.
- Usage and technical information: app interaction events, such as landing-page views and sign-up or login button selections, plus technical logs needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
- On-device information: game progress, achievements, preferences, scenarios, and session information stored in browser or app local storage.
Simulator fields can be completed with fictional information. Do not enter information you are not authorized to provide.
How Information Is Collected
We collect information when you create or use an account, play the game, enter simulator data, upload an invoice, enable an alert, or contact support. Some gameplay and preference data is created automatically as you use the app. Base44, our application platform, also processes authentication, analytics, hosting, database, file, and technical-log information on our behalf.
How We Use Information
We use information to create and secure accounts; save progress; run the game and simulator; calculate scores, reports, forecasts, and educational results; provide pseudonymous leaderboard rankings and AI-powered features; deliver requested alerts and service emails; prevent abuse; troubleshoot errors; and understand and improve the service.
AI Features and Invoice Processing
LedgerLegends uses Base44-managed AI services for features such as invoice extraction, transaction categorization, forecasts, scenario suggestions, cash-flow analysis, and generated recommendations or email drafts. Depending on the configured model, Base44 may use AI providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google to process the information required for the feature. Do not rely on AI output without reviewing it for accuracy.
Before an invoice is uploaded, the app identifies the information being sent and asks for your permission. The file is placed in Base44 private storage, and a signed access link that expires after five minutes is used for extraction. LedgerLegends does not attach that link to the saved expense record. You can decline and enter the expense manually instead.
When We Share Information
- Base44: application hosting, authentication, databases, private file storage, analytics, AI integrations, email delivery, and operational logging.
- AI providers: information needed to complete an AI feature, as described above, is processed through Base44's managed providers.
- Email infrastructure: your email address and message content may be processed by Base44's email service or Google Gmail when LedgerLegends sends a requested alert or service message.
- Other players: leaderboard participants receive a pseudonymous player label and gameplay statistics. Your email address is not included in the leaderboard data displayed to other players.
- Legal and safety reasons: information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse, or defend legal rights.
Service providers are limited to processing information to deliver their services and are required to protect personal information under their agreements and applicable law. We do
not sell personal information, serve third-party advertising, or use it to track you across other companies' apps and websites.
Storage and International Processing
Information is stored on your device and on Base44 infrastructure. Base44 stores app data in the United States by default, or in another region if the app owner configures an eligible regional data cluster. Information may therefore be processed outside your country, subject to the safeguards used by Base44 and its subprocessors.
Retention and Account Deletion
Account and simulator database records are retained while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account from More → Settings → Delete Account. The in-app process deletes your user record and account-owned budget, score, debt, invoice, asset, business, and transaction records, then clears LedgerLegends local storage on that device. This action cannot be undone.
Private invoice files, security logs, backups, and records that Base44 or we must retain for fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or system integrity may follow separate provider retention cycles. Temporary signed invoice links expire after five minutes. Contact Support to request access, correction, export, or deletion of information not covered by the automated account-deletion process.
Your Choices and Rights
You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal information through the Support page. You can avoid optional AI invoice processing by using manual entry. You can remove data stored locally by clearing the app's or browser's storage. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to object to processing, restrict processing, withdraw consent, or lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
Security
We and our service providers use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No storage or transmission system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
LedgerLegends is intended for a general audience and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children who cannot legally consent to its processing. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information should contact Support so it can be reviewed and deleted as appropriate.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required.
Privacy questions or requests can be submitted through the Support page.
